Restorative Dentistry Services

Dental Crowns

Dental crowns and bridges are often attached to dental implants, but they can also save teeth that have been damaged or undergone root canal treatment. Dental crowns are caps that cover individual teeth, while bridges cover areas where there are multiple damaged teeth adjacent to one another. Many patients undergo dental implant treatment and eventually have dental crowns and bridges placed to restore their smiles.

Restoration that covered the entire tooth. Some refer to them as “caps”. The entire tooth is reduced to allow for restorative material to be bonded all around the tooth.

Same Day Crown Services

In our office we have a machine to scan the tooth preparation, design the new crown on our computer, personalize shape and color characterization so no one can even tell you have a crown. In one appointment you will come in for your crown and leave with it permanently cemented without any gooey impressions or temporary crowns that keep falling off before the lab gets theirs back.

Veneers

If your teeth are chipped, worn down, and uneven, dental veneers can improve and enhance your natural smile. Veneers are thin, durable shells often made from ceramic or porcelain. Each shell is customized to fit and cover an individual tooth, creating an even, fuller, and brighter smile. Dental veneers are long-lasting, meaning you can maintain your dream smile for years to come with proper at-home care.

Whether you want a subtle enhancement or a dramatic transformation, our experienced team creates a personalized treatment plan that fits your goals, lifestyle, and budget.

At Precision Dentistry of Live Oak, we use advanced technology and high-quality materials to design smiles that look natural and feel comfortable. From teeth whitening and veneers to crowns, bonding, and alignment correction, every detail is customized to bring harmony and balance to your facial features.

Inlays & Onlays

A restoration or filling that is fabricated outside the mouth. These are indicated when the tooth preparation is too large for a composite filling but too small for a crown. They help conserve undamaged healthy tooth structure.

Tooth colored inlays and onlays can replace silver fillings and restore the strength and structure of damaged molars and premolars. Dental inlays fill in cavities and the inner, smaller areas between the molar cusps. Dental onlays also fill in the inner areas of a molar and extend to larger areas of the tooth.

Dental Implants

Losing teeth can be a life altering event in a person’s life, affecting their ability to speak and chew properly. With dental implants, we can restore missing teeth, as well as your confidence and peace of mind. Dental implants are small titanium rods that are placed in the root of a tooth. Over time, dental implants fuse to the jawbone, creating a stable foundation for dental crowns and replacement teeth. Dental implants can improve the appearance of your smile, prevent bone loss, and promote better oral health.

A titanium fixture placed in the bone with the bone growing around the threads of the fixture for stability, osteointegration. Only integrated implants can be restored as a single crown, bridge, snap on partial denture, snap on full denture. Implants still require regular maintenance by getting examined and cleaned at minimum once a year.

Single Tooth Implant

Replaces one single tooth, so that you can clean all your teeth separately.

Implant Bridge

This replaces 3 or more missing teeth.

Snap-on Denture

2-4 implants placed in jaw and denture “snaps on” to the implants. They have to be removed at night and cleaned while also cleaning the implant fixtures.

Fixed Implant Denture

4-6 implants placed that have a denture “screwed on” to the implants. They are only removed by a dental facility at time of implant maintenance cleaning and then placed back on before dismissal. They still have to be cleaned daily by threading under the denture around the implants.

Filling material

We use composite for our “filling” material. This allows us to be conservative in our preparations and only removes the damaged areas of the tooth from minor fractures and decay.

Prosthetics Section

  • Bridge: Replacing a missing tooth by reducing the teeth adjacent to the missing tooth for crowns and then a “fake tooth” is attached to the crowns. They require special floss to clean under them as their longevity depends on cleaning the teeth they are on. They are cemented into your mouth just like crowns.
  • Removable Partial Denture: Replace one or more missing teeth with this appliance you take out at night. This appliance utilized metal hooks to wrap around your existing teeth for retention.
  • Dentures: Appliances that can be removed at night if they are traditional dentures.  Traditional Dentures utilize your oral tissues and shape of your jaw bone to find stability. If having no teeth gives you 0% chewing power, traditional dentures give you about 10% chewing power back. Dentures can also be implant supported and give you more “chewing power”. They can be “snapped-on” or “screwed-on” for implant supported dentures.
